QUESTION TYPE 1:- BASIC DESCRIPTION

Common problem with this type of question and solution

Look at the example answer:-

I come from Dhaka. I am native of this city. Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh. In Dhaka, there are many historical places such as Lalbag Fort, Dhakesshori Temple and so on.

  • The answer is short.
  • It does not contain any linking words or phrases.
  • It does not contain any redundant language
  • There are no examples of uncommon vocabulary.
  • There is no idiomatic language.
  • The grammar is correct but it is very basic grammar.
  • There are no complex sentence structures.
  • The tense use is limited.

Well as you can probably guess I come from Dhaka and  I have lived here all my life, I suppose if I had to describe Dhaka, the first thing I would say is that it’s absolutely enormous may be even one of the biggest city in Asia I guess. It’s so big in fact that even the locals have problems finding their way around .another significant characteristic is that it offers examples of both classical and contemporary architecture .actually some of the Bangladesh’s most renowned landmarks are located in the middle of Dhaka.

  • It is long but does not move away from the topic/questions.
  • It contains redundant language.
  • It contains linking phrases.
  • It contains one idiom.
  • It contains some uncommon vocabulary.
  • The vocabulary is topic specific.
  • It contains examples of complex sentence structures.
  • It contains a mix of tenses.
  • The grammar is correct (even in the longer structures).

First Pointing phrase

Second pointing phrase

  • As well as that, I could say that…..                        Something else that I need to comment on is that…..
  • On top of that I can also add that…..                   I guess I could also remark on the fact that…….
  • Also I suppose I should say that…..

To say the truth depends. If I have a lot of time, it is likely that I may go Basundhara City complex. Otherwise, I go for it in any local shops.

To say the truth depends. If I have a lot of time, it is likely that I may listen music whole day. Otherwise, I go for it in the evening.

How often do you for art exhibition?

To be honest, it really depends. If it is weekend, I love to go art exhibition. Otherwise, I go once in blue moon

Opening Phrase:

First Statement Using a Linking Structure:

Do people in your country often keep pets?

Well, certainly in some ways….particularly if you think about the point that pets animals are the excellent way to enjoy your free time. But you also have to understand that….keeping pet animals is very costly and most people do not afford that. So in the main, I suppose the answer is probably yes and no.

Try to talk both positive side and negative side….

Do you spend weekends with?

To say the truth it really depends. If I have got a lot of time, it is likely that I may spend time with my friends. Otherwise, I spend time with my family.

I am afraid, if I had the chance, I would not take this opportunity because if I changed my job, I would be able to get more benefits.

Let’s go for some examples:

Well, I am now in two minds, but I had to choose, given the choices, I would go for watching movies at cinema because it is more interesting than watching at home.
